Grounding to the Tree of Life

Note from the authors of ANCIENT LANDSCAPES/DISTANT MUSIC:

The Tree of Life (immortal, perfect and as old as time, itself) is a symbol in the cosmologies of all of Earth’s religions. In all myths and religious teachings it represents inexhaustible life force untouched by circumstances and the awakening to divine truth. The Tree of Life is therefore equivalent to the concept of immortality; it represents Life without Death.

Its shapes connects the above, the below, the past and the future to the central axis which is its trunk. The roots are sunk deep into the underworld; its upper branches touch the Source of all Creation; its lateral branches touch all points in time and space; its trunk is the Immutable Now, the axis of Sacred Time that links all worlds.

The symbol of the Tree of Life appears in many forms. The “arbor vitae” or “Eternal Tree” is the central theme of Eastern art. The mandala, the spiral, and the cross found in all aspects of human art and religion are symbols of the Tree and its representation of the whole and the journey from the hidden root of all being to the spiraling movement upwards toward resurrection, transformation, and enlightenment.

For the Mayans, the World Tree represented in the Galactic Cross in the Milky Way, was the most holy of all symbols. Buddha awakened in a single night while leaning against the trunk of the Bo Tree, another symbol of the Tree of Life.

The serious study of the mysterious Kabbalah or Cabala in Judaism releases sparks of the Divine and provides access to the Tree of Life.

The motif of “hom,” the “Central Tree,” appears in early Mesopotamia and has its origins in Paleolithic times.

The Jewish and Christian BIBLE certainly mentions the Tree of Life in the first book, “Genesis.” Careful reading illuminates information about the story of Adam and Eve that eludes many people. After Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden fruit of the Tree of Knowledge and knew the knowledge of good and evil, God banished them from the Garden. His reasons for banishment are at the very least interesting. “And the Lord God said, ‘Behold the man is become as one of Us, to know good and evil; and now, lest he put forth his hand and take also of the Tree of Life and eat, and live forever: Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the Garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. So He drove out man, and He placed at the East of the Garden of Eden Cherubim’s, and flaming swords which turned every way to keep man from the Tree of Life.” (Genesis Chapter 3 verses 22-24.) Interesting, huh?

On January 4, 1999 man began once again to eat from the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge when the Galactic Creation Path anchored on Earth and presented for healing the energy of duality that defines the Galactic Worlds. The fruit was pleasant to the eye and tasted good. However, on September 11, 2001 the eating of that fruit took on the bitter taste of the Purification Path. In This Time of our Times, no old testament God is going to banish us. In fact the Divine is assisting Mankind to eat the fruits of good and evil found on the Tree of Knowledge, to swallow all of them, and to allow that knowledge to nourish all of us on our journey towards the balance of dualities and to the Tree of Life.

Lest the previous statements offend you, let us remind you of the symbol of the Tree of Life in the New Testament of the BIBLE, the Cross, and the promise it represents. Christ did not die on the cross to emphasize suffering and death. Rather it is His resurrection to physically walk the Earth after His crucifixion and vanquish the illusion of death that mirrors what is being offered to all of humanity during this Time of the End Times.

The Cherubims began to depart and the flaming swords began to be sheathed in May of 2001 when the Tree of Life began to arise from the empty spaces to appear once again on Earth to illuminate the collective journey of human kind through the Process of Purification, to reclaim an essence once presumed lost, and to assist in our species arrival at last to our collective destination: The Tree of Life, itself.

How do we know this? We experienced it all in a time frequency that is not linear. The New Heaven and the New Earth and what lies beyond the phenomenal worlds already exists and always has. The journey to that transition point that will occur in 2012, linear time, is the stuff of our book ANCIENT LANDSCAPES/ DISTANT MUSIC.

From the beginning of our journey together described in our book, the Tree of Life was a key symbol. In fact reading the “Prologue” of our book which can be found on this website testifies to that fact. By the end of the journey what had been a symbol became real in our world in ways we could have never imagined. With hindsight that is the very reason we were guided to include the Tree of Life in many spiritual exercises we faithfully did during our journey together. What follows is the first exercise we developed, shared, and from which we found much benefit.

Grounding to the Tree of Life

1. Find a tree to which you are attracted. Sit under the tree with your back against the trunk, your knees bent, and the soles of your feet flat to the ground.

2. Imagine you are leaning against the Tree of Life. It is immortal and has existed since the beginning of Time. Nothing has ravished it. It is strong, vital, and divine.

3. Visualize the roots of the Tree going to the very center of the Earth. Feel your connection to the Earth through its roots hidden beneath the ground

4. Visualize the upper branches of the Tree reaching to the Source of all Creation. Feel your connection to the Divine through its upper branches

5. Visualize the lateral branches reaching into all points in space and time. Feel your connection to all points of space and time through the branches

6. Visualize the leaves of the Tree as emerald green, vital, and healthy.

7. Feel the axis of the Tree, its trunk, touching all the points on the axis of your own body, your spine. Feel the focus, the center, and the perfection.

8. As your body makes contact with the Tree be reminded that The Tree of Life holds within its energy the memory of perfection and transformation. Nothing has ever disturbed its perfect and divine beauty.

9. Feel the energy of the Tree entering into your back and flowing into your spine.

10. Feel that energy flowing from your spine into all aspects of your body. Feel the vitality and wisdom flowing into every cell and atom of your body.

11. Feel the safety of the Tree of Life’s essence transforming your own essence and banishing all fear.

12. Feel calm, relaxed, and connected to this most sacred of all Trees.

13. Quiet your mind and enter into Stillness with the Tree of Life and remain there as long as possible.

14. When the Stillness breaks, arise from the Stillness feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and renewed.

15. Thank the Tree of Life for its grace and its transforming beauty.

If you have mastered the previous “Core Grounding Exercise,” we suggest you do this exercise at least twice a day instead. We remind you that it is best to make a recording in your own voice guiding you through the exercise. Once mastered, change the exercise in any way that seems important to you.

We also remind you that you can consult the “Crystal Illuminations” on this Website. The Tree of Life is present in all of the Illuminations. During meditation on any crystal the Tree of Life might just arise from the empty spaces to greet you!

The “Crystal Illumination” on this page is an example of the Tree of Life. Try not to make judgments about its dark color. Everything in Creation arises from the emptiness of the Void. We suggest that you begin your focused meditation first on the white center of the Illumination that is on this page and can also be found in the “Crystal Illuminations.”

Returning to the Main Menu and clicking on “Messages from the Authors” will also provide tips for meditation on the “Crystal Illuminations” that we have received from visitors to this website.

With Love and Light,

Nance and Frank
